Abstract: There are 12.8 million children worldwide who are visually impaired due to uncorrected refractive errors and many of others have misconceptions in wearing the spectacles. This negative attitude towards the spectacles on the minds of students ,parents and teachers can be changed through this research study. As the attendance rates continue to climb throughout the world, schools must provide proper vision screening programmes to reduce the percentage of visual impairments in students. Parents and guardians can go for other alternatives for vision correction like vision training or eye exercises which can prevent their child from wearing spectacles. Through this study the causes and challenges faced by spectacle wearers are evident and it is the duty of each parent to build a lifestyle best suitable for their children's health.
