Medical ethics – medical ethics deals with the moral principles to be followed by physicians in their dealings with each other’s, their patients and the state.It can also be described as “the analytical activity in which the concepts, assumptions, beliefs, attitudes, emotions, reasons and arguments underlying medico-moral decision making are examined critically. The principle objective of the medical profession is to render service to humanity with full respect for the dignity of man. Code of Ethics in medical practice describes what is expected from Registered Medical Practitioners while treating patients. It determines the principles of good medical practice and underlines the standards of professional ethics expected from doctors by their professional peers, other health professionals and the community.
