Abstract: Homoeopathic tradition of treatment though considered as both art and science, it struggles to stand as a scientific system. The concepts of vital force, drug dynamization, Modus operandi of Homoeopathy are yet to be proved on scientific ground. The modern researches focuses on evidence based studies in Homoeopathy to prove its effectiveness and scientificity among other existing system of medicines. Among the researches based on diagnostic factors and prognostic factors, the latter is gaining importance to identify factors that could save life. Homoeopathic medicines can be validated by validation of its effectiveness in individual case by considering Homoeopathic symptoms as a prognostic factor.
Description: Modified Naranjo Criteria can be applied for assessing the course of the disease as well as predicting the prognosis of the Osteoarthritis of Knee after Homoeopathic drug administration in daily practice and research rather than simply relying on only Patient’s opinion and Physician’s observation.
