Aquaculture is developing into a prime industry in the enormous turnover of bioenergy for the benefit of the mankind. In this phenomenal of aquaculture industry, the ornamental fishes are the major species that occupy unique position and gains attraction in the domestic market [1]. There are many species for the ornamental fish trade because of unique colorations, behavior and morphology.In this Xiphophorus masculatus (platy fish) is the live-bearing (ovoviviparous) tropical fish group in ornamental aquarium fish. Xiphophorus, unfortunately include as threatened and dangerous species. These fishes inhibit freshwater drainages in Mexico, Guatemala, Belize and Honduras. Due to human impact on their natural habitats, many wild populations of these fishes have become imperiled. Gamete cryopreservation is a technique that can be used to preserve unique genetic resources and is especially relevant for applications in Xiphophrous fishes.
