Abstract: Anorectal abscess arise from the infection in cryptoglandular epithelium along the anal canal, if the infection bursts through the external sphincter, it will form an ischiorectal abscess. Ischiorectal abscess accounts for one third of anorectal infections. The male patient of age 53 presented with the complaints of a tender mass in left gluteal region since 3 weeks with history of Diabetes Mellitus for which the totality was erected and was diagnosed as ischio-rectal abscess, which led to Fournier’s gangrene. We have used the pathology specific homoeopathic remedies such as Hepar sulphuricum and Silicea in succession based on symptom similarity, along with the help of surgical intervention without violating homoeopathic laws in treating it. Within 64 days of treatment in in-patient ward the abscess completely healed.
Description: This study reveals the effectiveness of Homoeopathy in ischio-rectal abscess leading to Fournier’s gangrene with the help of surgical intervension without violating homoeopathic principles.
