Poly cystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is considered to be most important contributing factor to the global burden of disease. PCOS is one of the large lifestyle disorders in women of reproductive age, which is rising in India, especially among reproductive age group and young girls. PCOS is a complex metabolic endocrine, reproductive and psychological disorder that impacts quality of life of female. [1] PCOS is common endocrine disorders affecting approximately 20-30% of women of reproductive age (11-45 years) and is thought to be one of the leading causes for women with female infertility. [2] This syndrome has a major impact on the psycho-social health of women as it impairs feminity due to menstrual abnormalities, infertility, obesity, hirsutism, hair loss, and facial acne. The global prevalence of PCOS is on the rise and is showing a galloping increase in parallel with rising prevalence of type 2 diabetes mellitus
